Community Resource Volunteer

Open Opportunity

About

Help us create a Community Resource Guide so that families experiencing homelessness on the Palouse can easily find the housing, childcare, and medical assistance they need to secure permanent housing!

The goal of the Community Resource Guide is to provide families experiencing homelessness with an easy, comprehensive look at the resources available throughout the Palouse community. The guide will  include information on Housing, Childcare Providers, and Healthcare providers (including general health, mental health, women’s health, pediatricians, and covid testing resources). The guide will also contain additional helpful information, such as locations of community food banks and lists of local churches and the services they offer. There should be information on resources throughout both Latah and Whitman counties.

We are looking for 2-3 Community Resource Volunteers to ensure that the current information in our current community guide is accurate and updated. They will also do further research on the resources available on the Palouse before compiling them all into an easy to understand document-- either list or table form. Each volunteer will work on one resource area.

The opportunity is remote to ensure the health and safety of our volunteer, our families, and our staff. If you are interested in this opportunity, please register for this event and our Volunteer Coordinator will message you to set up a time to meet on zoom to discuss the project further.
