Organizational Information

The mission statement of Circles of Caring in Pullman, WA is to provide community-based health and wellness enhancement for vulnerable adults and frail elders. They aim to offer a safe, caring, and nurturing atmosphere while also providing healthy living opportunities for the aging and at-risk population. Additionally, they assist in maintaining or improving the physical, social, and cognitive functioning of their participants, ensuring they can remain in their communities as safely as possible.

Opportunity Description

Volunteers will help set up and clean up at classes, workshops or events. As well as play cards, play checkers, play music, teach seniors to play music, talk, listen, read, play Scrabble -- just about anything you like to do, one of our clients at Circles of Caring Adult Day Services would probably like to do as well. 

Days/Times
Transportation will be provided. Please meet at CUB L45 at 12:20 AM to meet with your group. We plan to return to campus around 3:00 PM. 

Requirements

Service hours are allocated based on the amount of direct service participation and do not include meeting time and transportation to/from the service site. The use of personal transportation will not be allowed, and hours will not be recorded for time spent on service site. Students should plan to receive 2.5 hours of service for this project. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Closed-toed shoes are required. All students are advised to bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing. Photos may be taken for Circles of Caring social media.

Cancellation Policy
Participants can unregister on GivePulse up to 24 hours before the scheduled project start time. Please let CCE staff know if you are unable to participate if it is within 24 hours of the project meeting time. The CCE has a strict No-Show Policy. After 2 No Shows students will be unable to participate in CCE-led Projects for the rest of the semester.
