Organizational Information
Bishop Place is designed to provide a beautiful home for residents, while offering the care and services needed to maintain an active quality lifestyle. Bishop Place's community has been built upon caring, love and a sense of family. They employ licensed nurses who are on-site 18 hours a day, 365 days a year and on call 24 hours a day. A home-like atmosphere allows residents to enjoy the advantages of community living without compromising their individuality, dignity or privacy. All Students must bring a drivers license or a state ID in order to sign in at Bishop.


Opportunity Description

Do you enjoy card/board games? Do you enjoy drawing and making arts and crafts? Or perhaps you like to get competitive at bingo? Students can socialize with residents at Bishop Place! All students must bring a driver's license or a state ID in order to sign in at Bishop.

Days/Times
Transportation will be provided. Please meet at CUB L45 at 2:15 PM to meet with your group. We plan to return to campus around 4:45 PM.  All Students must bring a drivers license or a sate ID in order to sign in at Bishop.

 

Requirements

Service hours are allocated based on the amount of direct service participation and do not include meeting time and transportation to/from the service site. The use of personal transportation will not be allowed, and hours will not be recorded for time spent on service site. Students will be socializing while completing fun crafts and activities with residents! All Students must bring a drivers license or a sate ID in order to sign in at Bishop. Students should plan to receive 2.5 hours of service for this project. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Closed-toed shoes are required. All students are advised to bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing.

Cancellation Policy
Participants can unregister on GivePulse up to 24 hours before the scheduled project start time. Please let CCE staff know if you are unable to participate if it is within 24 hours of the project meeting time. The CCE has a strict No-Show Policy. After 2 No Shows students will be unable to participate in CCE-led Projects for the rest of the semester.
