The Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) offers and supports the tracking of community engagement at Washington State University (WSU).  Each semester thousands of students around Washington State and the world participate in community engagement activities and are actively engaged in their communities.

WSU requires that community organizations sign an affiliation agreement which delineates organizational responsibilities, including the safety of students participating in community engagement and service-learning opportunities in the community.

Organizations must meet the characteristics of civic engagement at Washington State University, as outlined on the CCE website here: https://cce.wsu.edu/get-engaged/what-can-be-tracked/.

If you are a WSU student, please make sure you discuss your community engagement or service-learning course requirements with your partner prior to showing up to get involved. Doing so allows community partners to verify their willingness to partner with WSU and provide civic engagement opportunities to WSU students. Students can direct any questions to the CCE's Community Partnership Team at 509.335.7708.

Washington State University seeks to ensure that its students are safe while participating in community engagement and service activities. Please provide some basic organizational information so that the WSU Center for Civic Engagement staff may assess the potential for partnership and determine if the proposed activities are appropriate for student community engagement. Once this form is submitted the CCE Community Partnership Team will contact the organization within three business days to verify the information submitted. Please allow up to three business days for this form to be processed.
