You can make a direct impact on local Des Moines families by volunteering at our food pantry! As a volunteer, you'll help stock shelves, assist families in bagging their groceries and escorting them to their vehicles,providing a friendly, welcoming presence. Your support ensures that our pantry runs smoothly and that everyone who visits feels valued and cared for. Join us in making a difference, one bag of groceries at a time! What will volunteers do? Stock shelves, organize food items, count and weigh donations, welcome and assist families through the food pantry. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes suitable for working in a food pantry environment. We are open Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Please make a note on your r&egistration as to what date and time you wish to work. We typically do two-hour shift increments throughout the day.
