Evergreen Habitat Construction Volunteer

Our homes are built almost entirely by volunteers, both skilled and unskilled. Even if you have never picked up a hammer, we need your help! All the tools and safety gear you need for the day is provided and no previous experience is necessary.

We ask all construction volunteers (unless volunteering as part of a scheduled Group Build) to attend a brief, 1-hour orientation, where you will learn more about our mission, the purpose behind this work, and how you support that mission. We will also go over safety protocols, what to expect on an Evergreen Habitat Build Site, and our expectations of you as a volunteer.

After orientation, anyone who would like to continue the process to become a volunteer with us must complete a background check. We cannot work with individuals who have certain histories, such as charges related to theft and/or violence.

There is no minimum commitment required to volunteer for this opportunity. You can volunteer as little or as much as you would like. 

Construction volunteers must be 16 or older.
