Join the effort to keep Pullman poo free while taking a leisurely walk around one of the city's four neighborhoods and refilling the city's pet waste bag stations - no poo handling required!
Here's how it works:
- Meet a Palouse Conservation District staff member at the PCD office to receive directions and supplies. (PCD supplies refill pet waste bags, but bring your own plastic bags if you'd like!)
- Choose one of 4 Pullman neighborhoods to cover, and pick your route based on your preferred levels of driving versus walking. (This is a choose-your-own-adventure activity with three walking/biking levels to choose from!)
- Take your supplies and visit each station on the map, using the provided Google Maps link on your smart phone. Refill each station and take notes on the tracking sheet provided.
- Return to the PCD office when finished, drop off the remaining supplies, and be on your way!
Volunteers must provide their own transportation to reach pet waste station sites, though some routes are walkable or bikeable from the PCD office.
Palouse Conservation District's mission is to foster the voluntary conservation of natural resources by providing the tools, education, technical expertise, and financial assistance to support our local community. Palouse Conservation District works through voluntary, incentive-based programs to assist landowners and agricultural operators with the conservation of natural resources throughout the District.
