About
Come join the habitat restoration team! Depending on weather, we may work outside--work meaning weeding invasive species, such as, English ivy, Himalayan blackberry, etc. Be prepared for dirt, thorns, and touching plants! We've been working on campus (in rainy woods at the southeast end of campus, by the watershed mural, in the learning garden) and off campus (Sylvania Natural Area Park and Trail 7).
On October 16, we are hoping to plant most of the 40 plants that we were awarded by the Xerces Society, which is providing a Willamette Valley Hedgerow Kit. Come help us plant shrubs!
When the weather is too rainy or cold or hot, we will continue our turtle sibling study analyzing photographs in ST 3 (between the TCB and ST buildings), writing small grants, re-writing our turtle study paper, or other work. Please sign up, so we can email you our plans and look for you!
