About
Your help is needed to plant native plants at the beautiful Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve, an amazing and unique wildlife preserve. Jackson Bottom is a 635-acre wetland complex on the Tualatin River that is designated as an Important Bird Area for both migrating and non-migratory species. This will be our final weekend of planting at Jackson Bottom Wetlands. We hope to see you there!
Please arrive by 8:45am to sign-in and be assigned a planting crew. The planting starts at 9:00am. We provide gloves, tools, and planting guidance, as well as breakfast snacks and coffee/tea/hot chocolate -- all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather wearing sturdy shoes or boots, and be ready to have fun!
How do I register? Head on over to our event calendar and sign up to save your place. Groups, families, and individuals welcome! If your group is more than 5 people, please know you will be assigned to different planting crews.
Under age 18? We request that youth 15 and under volunteer with a parent/guardian. Youth 16 and older can volunteer on their own and will need to hand us a youth waiver form signed by their parent/guardian.
Questions? Please check out our Volunteer FAQ webpage. Our team is also happy to assist! You can reach us at volunteer@friendsoftrees.org, 503-595-0213. We look forward to planting together soon!
