It was so great hearing both professors share about the research they do and the Daily Evergreen’s editor in chief share their experiences and knowledge of cannabis. I also liked hearing about why the word cannabis is used more than marijuana now.
As a service project for the Community, Equity, and Social Justice Student Mentor Program, my group and I decided to partner with the Whitman County Humane Society to host a pet supply drive. We decided to complete this over social media since the Humane Society had an online Amazon Wishlist with supplies they needed. We were able to raise over $150 in the span of 24 hours and bought various supplies needed by the Humane Society. It was an amazing experience especially since we weren’t able to do an in-person volunteer opportunity with the community partner.
